Statement of Purpose

One Love is a simple name for a big concept, a phrase used to describe unity, respect, and acceptance among people. Rooted in the understanding that all human beings are equal, One Love can overcome oppression and inequality. The One Love concept implies that individuals are accountable for each other and for humanity. The name One Love was chosen for this community health organization because of its relative simplicity and catchy sound, as well as the understanding of accountability and equality. Ultimately, when one considers the motivation of the healer, it is love. Many artists and musicians have created expressions of One Love. Bob Marley, of great international fame, has the most widely recognized song One Love (1977), an inspirational message of unity that we, One Love Center for Health, are after.
